OUR
STORY
Created by fighters, for fighters.
Only a few months into training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu I became aware of the nasty bacteria and germs found on our training mats. Since the sourcing of anti-bacterial soap from overseas vendors became an issue I got to work on creating a product specified for athletes and Australian water conditions. Since 2016, FULLGUARD has been an integral part of a combat sports athletes post training hygiene routine.
FULLGUARD is a 2-in-1: Hair and Body Wash which is scientifically formulated and manufactured in our lab on the Gold Coast. It is a skin friendly formula which uses environmentally sensitive surfactants and is derived from natural ingredients. Our goal is to provide Aussies with a high quality hair and body wash which will protect your skin and scalp against harmful bacteria and germs as well as soothe skin redness and irritation.

INGREDIENTS
Created by fighters, for fighters.
Active Ingredients:
Tea Tree Oil:
Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is native to Southeast Queensland, the north coast and adjacent ranges of New South Wales. The Bundjalung people of eastern Australia used the leaves of this tree by inhaling the oils from the crushed leaves.
In addition, the leaves were soaked to make an infusion to soothe skin irritation. Terpinen-4-ol is the primary ingredient in tea tree oil, which is responsible for giving tea tree oil its antibacterial properties.
Eucalyptus Oil:
The Eucalyptus tree is mostly native to Australia. Aboriginal peoples used eucalyptus leaf infusions to treat skin wounds. Eucalyptol is the organic compound responsible for giving Eucalyptus Oil its antibacterial properties.
Kakadu Plum Extract:
Kakadu Plum (Terminalia ferdinandiana) is a fruit which is native to Australia. It occurs naturally in the tropical grasslands of the Northern Territory and the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Aboriginal peoples used the inner bark of the tree to soothe skin irritation. Kakadu Plum is a powerful antioxidant, as it has a high concentration of Vitamin C which helps remove free radicals. This fruit is also effective in killing harmful skin bacteria and germs.
Olive Leaf Extract:
The olive leaf is taken from the Olive tree (Olea europaea) which is native to the Mediterranean, Asia and Africa. It contains free radical removing compounds such as oleuropein and hydroxytyrosol. Olive leaf extract is also known to kill harmful skin bacteria and germs.
Matricaria Flower Extract:
Matricaria is a plant more commonly known as Chamomile. It is native to temperate areas in Europe and Asia. The active ingredients in chamomile extract kill harmful skin bacteria and germs, as well as soothe skin redness and irritation.
Lavender Oil:
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is a plant native to the western Mediterranean, primarily the Pyrenees and other mountains in northern Spain. It contains the phytochemicals (chemical compounds that occur naturally in plants): linalool and linalyl acetate. These compounds are responsible for giving lavender oil its soothing and relaxing effect.
Peppermint Oil:
Peppermint is a plant which is the cross between water mint and spearmint and is indigenous to Europe. Menthol is the most active chemical in peppermint oil which soothes and relaxes the skin. Peppermint oil is also known to have antibacterial properties as well as kill germs.
Surfactants/Emolients/Preservatives:
Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate:

Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate is a mild surfactant which is used as a foaming and cleasnsing agent in cosmetics. It is a direct substitute for Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS) - a sulfated surfactant which is common in most body washes. This surfactants molecules are too big to penetrate the skins layers all the way through - which helps it preserve most of your natural skin oils.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine:
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is an organic compound derived from coconut oil. It is a mild, environmentally sensitive surfactant and is used as a foam booster in body washes and shampoos. Cocamidopropyl Betaine has large molecules which makes it hard for it to penetrate the skins layers. This allows you to preserve most of your body's natural skin oil after showering.
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate:
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a mild, environmentally sensitive surfactant and is not to be confused with Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS) - which is common in most cosmetic body washes. It is procured from Sarcosine and is used as a foaming and cleansing agent. The use of this ingredient should leave your skin less irritated compared to some cosmetics which use SLS.
Sodium Methyl Oleoyl Taurate:
Sodium Methyl Oleoyl Taurate is a mild, environmentally sensitive surfactant. It is extremely useful as it provides a high foaming capacity, even in hard water. It is also known to work well with Cocamidopropyl Betaine to provide a thicker mixture.
Coco-Glucoside:
Coco-Glucoside is a mild, environmentally sensitive surfactant which is extracted from coconut oil and fruit sugar. It is used as a foaming and cleansing agent in cosmetic body washes. It cleans the skin by helping water bind with the oil and dirt molecules so that it can be rinsed off easily - leaving your skin feeling refreshed.
Glycerin:
Glycerin also known as glycerol is a compund obtained from combining sugar with alcohol. It is used as an emolient (moisturiser) which attracts moisture to your skin by absorbing water from the air. The use of glycerol will soothe your skin redness and irritation.
Lauryl Glucoside:
Lauryl Glucoside is a mild, environmentally sensitive surfactant which is withdrawn from coconut oil and glucose. It is used as a foaming agent and conditioner in body washes. Lauryl Glucoside is also efficient in hard water and works well with Cocamidopropyl Betaine to provide a thicker mixture.
Glyceryl Oleate:
Glyceryl Oleate is derived from naturally occuring oils and fats (Glycerin and Oleic Acid). It is an environmentally senstive ingredient and is used as an emolient (moisturiser) in cosmetic body washes - leaving your skin feeling refreshed after showering.
Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride:
Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride is an organic compound extracted from the Cluster Bean (Guar). It is used as a hair conditioning agent in shampoos to prevent static charge - keeping your hair tangle free.
Potassium Sorbate:
Potassium Sorbate is a preservative used as a direct substitute to parabens. It is an ingredient which is commonly used in the cosmetics and food industry. It inhibits the growth of mould and yeast - which prolongs the shelf life of your product. Potassium Sorbate is also known to be effective in killing harmful skin bacteria and germs.
Sodium Benzoate:
Sodium Benzoate is another preservative which is used as a direct substitute to parabens. It is known to help prolong the shelf life of your product by inhibiting the growth of mould. Sodium Benzoate is also known to be effective in killing harmful bacteria and germs under acidic conditions.
